Rematch Presents - The Minnesota Vikings - Team Tryouts

Rematch Live presents The Minnesota Vikings

What do you get if you cross the Minnesota Vikings, a brash NFL anchor, a UK pundit who thinks a Hail Mary is a cocktail, two wildly competitive team captains, a Scouse ref in full flourish, Prince’s greatest hits on blast… and an actual Viking who just teleported from 1025 AD? You get pure, unfiltered fun - and the wildest sporting throwdown London’s seen in 2024.

Outernet London: more spaceship than city square, and for one magic Saturday, our gladiator arena. But forget spectators - every unsuspecting Londoner was drafted into action, rebadged as athletes then hyped by screens brighter than Times Square itself.

The mission:
convert the crowd into die-hard Vikings fans by any means necessary. And get everyone to SKOL! like never before heard. Out came the stunts, the street games, the full Secret Cinema bag of tricks I've built up over 10 years in immersive game play - anything to get people off the sidelines and into the interactive whirlwind.

Picture it: rival teams scrapping for bragging rights, a pundit partnership so mismatched it was practically a buddy movie, and play-by-plays served with more banter than Match of the Day could ever muster.

Then the beat drops - literally - as our time-warped Viking hosts the world’s most unpredictable Prince catwalk-off in a purple-hued gallery. (Prince, it turns out, was a Vikings megafan, purple everywhere, thank you Warner Music.)

Meanwhile, Vikings star player players and the full cheer squad brought enough NFL energy to power the West End. Our mascot became an honorary London selfie landmark, and prizes flew as fast as insults between our team leaders.

We ran eight rounds of anything-goes gridiron mayhem, exploded every KPI in sight, and - best of all - sparked a small army of new Vikings fans who danced, competed, and partied like Norse gods. Turns out you don’t need a stadium - just a crazy mash-up of sport, music, vivid characters and a couple of slippery Atlantic mackerel. SKOL!
