Creating and staging this show was an absolute delight, thanks to the rich tapestry of '90s culture we could weave together, and the unwavering passion and film knowledge of the fans. Witnessing 2500 Capulets and 2500 Montagues engage in epic dance-offs during our own devised Brawls #1 and #2 was truly a career highlight. The intensity and craving for narrative blood from those families was palpable - Pride, Passion, Power!

Below is a song 'Words of a Wound' written by Lowkey and teenagers at risk of gang violence on the streets of London in 2018. Lowkey kindly wrote and recorded this this track, and made the video to form the centre piece of the hero sequence at Secret Cinema's Romeo+Juliet summer show. As our pre-show descended into Brawl 2, and the curtain was ripped from the vast cinema screen, the video screen came to life with live footage of our actors brawling. Just before we cross faded into the film we dropped this video, a call to action to donate to charity MAC UK, to raise money to tackle knife crime and end the epidemic of teenage murders that summer, and beyond
